Seasonal Employment Permit. Your Gateway to Work in Ireland.
Ireland has officially launched its Seasonal Employment Permit (SEP) — a brand-new short-term work option for non-EEA nationals. Here's everything you need to know:
Duration & Season
* Permit allows seasonal work for up to 7 months per calendar year, from 14 April to 13 November.
* Initial permits are issued for one season and can be renewed for up to three years.
Employer Requirements
* Only “Approved Seasonal Employers” can hire under the SEP.
* Employers must re-register annually and provide essentials like accommodation, health insurance, safety training, and proper equipment for workers.
Salary & Hours
* SEP holders must be paid at least €30,000 per year, or €14.79 per hour, and work at least 30 hours per week.
Flexibility for Workers
* Workers can change to another Approved Seasonal Employer without needing a new permit.
* This scheme offers more security and flexibility
